I don’t know how it is that I’m just now learning this, but Salt House, a fancy-ish restaurant very near my place of work, has for a time now been serving breakfast and they have House of Bagel bagels! This is like a miraculous dream come true. No more Noah’s when I have a bagel craving! And they are serving Ritual coffee…I can’t wait to try it.
Pretty bomb new pho place in the FiDi, BubbleTea is on Bush between Sansome and Montgomery. It is easily the best Vietnamese food in the immediate area. I know that’s not saying much, but it’s actually pretty good. They serve the food on real, pretty dishes and everything’s cheap. A fine place for lunch or early dinner if you’re stuck out there.
holy crap it’s gross out. so muggy and hot. what have you wrought san francisco? i’m going to try to make myself feel better about everything with these giant chewy nerds i just bought at walgreens. the bags says they have a “bumpalicious shell, chewilicious jelly bean center.” i’ll let you know how it goes.
UPDATE: they are crazy delicious. like nerds times a million. get to your local walgreens and buy a pack now, only 89 cents per 170 calories.
i went to gussie’s chicken and waffles on eddy and fillmore today, in the old powell’s place space. i didn’t get the c&w, i got fried chicken livers and eggs and grits. pretty sweet. even sweeter, their “2 dollar tuesdays;” chicken wings a buck a piece, draft beer pints 2 dollars. fuck yeah.
