Nicaraguan food is off the chain.  I can’t eat it ever again because it basically amounts to giant platters-full of fried pork and fried cheese and really, I can’t eat that stuff anymore, delicious as it is.  But doesn’t that sound like something you want to eat?

I don’t know how it is that I’m just now learning this, but Salt House, a fancy-ish restaurant very near my place of work, has for a time now been serving breakfast and they have House of Bagel bagels!  This is like a miraculous dream come true.  No more Noah’s when I have a bagel craving!  And they are serving Ritual coffee…I can’t wait to try it.

i went to gussie’s chicken and waffles on eddy and fillmore today, in the old powell’s place space.  i didn’t get the c&w, i got fried chicken livers and eggs and grits.  pretty sweet.  even sweeter, their “2 dollar tuesdays;” chicken wings a buck a piece, draft beer pints 2 dollars.  fuck yeah.
